WHEN TO CALL IN POKER

In the majority of poker games there are three different betting possibilities. The first one is to call, which means that you match the bet; the second possibility is to check, which means that you don’t want to open the bet turn and finally you can also rise, which means that you increase the bet.

In some occasions, calling can be more useful for your poker strategy than rising, as it is a good way to avoid transmitting information to your opponents. Moreover, if for instance you only have high cards and the flop cards are low, calling will be a good option, as at least your opponent will not know that your cards are not that good.

However, you must keep in mind that in the same way you can use this trick, your opponents can do it too, and therefore you should know how to react in case that happen.
